Bake This: 6 Yummy Homemade Pizzas for the Healthy Soul

Start

What do you think of when you hear the word “pizza”?

Greasy? Cheesy? Unhealthy? Ton of unnecessary calories? Sure. But a hot, melty pizza for dinner is as American as it gets.

There’s a way to have your pie and eat it, too. The solution to the calorie-bomb that is most delivery pizza is healthy pizza made at home. These recipes, garnered from some of our favorite online sources, are fairly easy to whip up. You can make your own dough or get a jump start with the store-bought kind.

It’s time to ditch delivery charges (every dollar counts in this down economic cycle) and all the unhealthful fat. The typical slice of pepperoni pizza has about 400 calories, while a slice of thin-crust pizza with vegetables topping has only 150.

So try one of these scrumptious healthy homemade pizza recipes for a change.
