Meal Ticket has an inside look at Kennett, the new farm-to-table pub at 2nd and Christian. The Queen Village spot is aiming for Green Restaurant Association certification—and I actually spotted chef Brian Ricci loitering around Tom Culton’s stand at Headhouse on Sunday.
Some highlights from the menu? Dinosaur kale salad with beets, roasted winter squash, Bulgarian feta and sherry vinaigrette; red wine-braised French puy lentil salad; and a hamburger with bone marrow, pickled onion, lettuce and anchovy mayo (the last addition—sure to pack a salty, umami punch—being one of the most brilliant ideas I’ve heard in a good long while).
