Philadelphia’s first ever science festival starts next Friday, April 15th, and there are plenty of events to get hyped about! For two weeks (April 15-April 28), Philadelphia will host a plethora of free, science-filled, family-friendly interactive programs. The goal: to make science interesting, relevant, and fun. It’s time to realize the science that exists all around us! Be a part of the celebration and join the conversation. An event will surely be taking place right in your community, from Drexel Hill to Point Breeze.

Science Carnival
Saturday, April 16, 10:00am-5:00pm
Ben Franklin Parkway
Logan Circle will be transformed into a science wonderland, or an outdoor carnival that resembles one. The event will feature 80 exhibitors that offer friendly experiments, interactive activities, games, and live entertainment. Expect to see Center City District & KidsInCenterCity.com for their “Trees in City” exhibit, where you can learn about the benefits of urban trees, Community College of Philadelphia’s “Illuminating Acid Rain” showcase, to learn of the harms caused by acid rain, and much, much more! It’s the perfect way to start off your two week science adventure!
“From Dirt to Dinner Plate: Agriculture Today”

Follow the journey of your food from seedling to plate while taking a tour of the Wyck gardens and examining produce up-close.
