These days, urban agriculture advocates are getting creative. Filmmakers Curt Ellis and Ian Cheney (King Corn, Big River and The Greening of Southie) are working on a new project dubbed Farm Truck. They’re using a mobile garden (constructed in the back of a pickup) to show communities in New York that you don’t even need land to grow food. Click the link and check out the teaser, especially if you’re a fan of time-lapse video.
Four days ago, they reached their fundraising goal, but that doesn’t mean they still couldn’t use a boost.
I’ll also admit that I have a special soft spot for these guys—they graduated from my college a few years ahead of me, and had a tremendous (and ongoing) impact on the community.
