Job interviews are tough, and that’s under the best of circumstances. If you don’t have experience interviewing, the proper clothing or knowledge of where to start looking for a job, it’s even harder. That’s where Career Wardrobe comes in. Career Wardrobe is a local nonprofit that aids participants with professional clothing, skills development and help with job searching.

The long-running Philadelphia-area organization will host two fundraisers this spring to benefit their operations. These Meet the Maker Sip & Shop events will be held at Mushmina in Wayne on April 27 and Bok Design Studio on May 3.

A number of “women entrepreneurs at the forefront of sustainable fashion, incorporating community impact in their business models” will be in attendance. Attendees will be able to network with designers and entrepreneurs, enter into raffles and receive discounts on their purchases.

The first event at Mushima will feature owner Katie O’Neill speaking about her experience designing bags and fabric, employing makers in Morocco and expanding to selling online, with QVC and at pop-up style stores.

At Bok, designers from Lobo Mau, RoxanneLava, Nuance Jewelry, Supra Endura and Neutral States Clothing will be in attendance. The store will also be open for shopping, with 20% of purchases going to Career Wardrobe.

Both Sip & Shop events will also include light fare and raffles. They are free and open to the public, but require an RSVP (April 27, May 3).
