Update: West Philly Tool Library is moving!

Start

Image via www.westphillytools.orgLast Monday I blogged about the awesome West Philly Tool Library that’s loaning tools to community residents to jumpstart their home and garden projects. The Library just announced some great news: They’ll be moving just down the street, a mere 200-300 feet away to 1314 South 47th Street, and tripling their size!

With this new warehouse, the Library can accept even more tool donations (tax exempt) and offer on site classes. Future classes will include how to pour a concrete sidewalk, re-glaze a window, and re-wire an electrical outlet. The Library is always looking for volunteers to teach their skills. Contact Stacey (stacey@westphillytools.org) if interested.

The Library is also asking for some help with moving. If you have an hour or two on Saturday, May 21 or Sunday, May 22, drop Jake (jake@westphillytools.org) an e-mail. Any extra hands would be greatly appreciated!

Learn more about the Library and how you can loan tools or donate to this community organization at their website.
