Upcoming: MiND TV at the Schuylkill Center

Start

Tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m., enjoy a screening of 5-minute films about sustainability, presented by MiND TV, the Nature Conservancy and the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education.

This is all part of MiND TV and The Nature Conservancy’s month-long celebration of the environment, happening through April 30. More than 22 new, community-submitted programs will premiere on MiND TV on topics ranging from a walkabout at Hawk Mountain, to Philadelphia sustainable architecture, to a worker-owned co-op using bicycles for recycling. The evening will feature refreshments and a performance by Philadelphia singer-songwriter, Eco Man.

Following the screening, Conservation Scientist Su Fanok (The Nature Conservancy), Brendan Isaac Jones (Greensaw Design & Build, LLC), Natalie Beckwith (Delaware Valley Green Building Council), MiND Member John McGlaughlin (Walk About – Hawk Mountain) and others will take questions about their films, and their work.

This event is also a great opportunity to visit the idyllic Schuylkill Center in Roxborough, home to one of the largest organic farms in the Philadelphia area.

6:30 p.m. April 14 at the Schuylkill Center, 8480 Hagy’s Mill Road
