Playing for Peaches: 3rd Annual POP Music Festival

Start

On July 16, the Philadelphia Orchard Project will host its 3rd Annual Music Festival and fundraiser. The music festival will be held in the beautiful Liberty Lands Park and will feature five local bands: Faux Slang, Eric Carbonara & Jesse Sparhawk, Zillions & Blood Like Mine, The Old Fashioneds, and Pile of Girls.  DJs from Fish n’Chips DJs will be there to entertain you in between sets.

As for keeping your stomach delighted, beer from the Philadelphia Brewing Company and Food from Honest Tom’s Taco Truck, Dapper Dog and Buttercream Cupcake will give you some delish treats. POP will also be selling plants; choose a fig, raspberry, or strawberry plant, or go home with a fruity mix.

All proceeds from the festival will go to POP and its work to grow healthy food and green spaces in Philadelphia. POP works with community groups and individual volunteers to plant orchards that grow useful and edible plants in low-income neighborhoods that lack access to fresh produce.

Tickets are $10 in advance (before July 11), and $15 the day of.

July 16, 2-8p.m., Liberty Lands Park, 3rd St. between Poplar St & Wildey St, Philadelphia, PA, for more information click here
