Are you a bike-riding, garden-growing, veggie-composting professional looking for a part-time entry-level job at a small, entrepreneurial company? Red Flag Media, a growing independent magazine publisher based in Philadelphia seeks a motivated person to join our marketing team.

This individual will serve as an assistant to our Sales & Marketing Manager, managing our events calendar, updating our website, handling social media, fact-checking and completing various other editorial and production projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have a high level of computer proficiency and excellent writing and verbal communication skills. This person will be need to work on multiple online platforms and have the ability to keep track of a variety of projects and assignments. We are looking for a community-minded person who is detail-oriented, goal-driven and entrepreneurial.

A passion for sustainability and the city of Philadelphia is a must.

This is a part-time, entry-level position in our Center City office that will be 20-25 hours a week.  Salary is $15/an hour.

Marketing Duties

  • Manage the online and print calendar listings

  • Assist the Sales & Marketing Manager in publishing content to Grid’s website

  • Write and edit content for Grid’s website

 

Editorial Duties:

  • Assist the Managing Editor and Grid interns in gathering and writing listings
  • Assist the Managing Editor and Grid interns in fact-checking Grid articles

  • Write photo captions when assigned
