If you want to become more competitive in the job market while greening your skillset, consider the free career training program at Community College of Philadelphia (CCP). In collaboration with JobTrakPA, CCP is offering free courses in Energy Conservation (Building Analyst and Envelope), LEED Certification (LEED Green Associate), and Advanced Manufacturing. With the help of a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), all of Pennsylvania's community colleges are participating in this program.
"This is a wonderful opportunity provided by the DOL to gain skills or upgrade skills," said Judi Greif, a Career Coach for the Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) Program at CCP. "Classes are fairly short term and fully-equipped for a hands-on learning experience."
Among other eligibility requirements, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Priority will be given to eligible veterans. For more information, visit JobTrakPA.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
