30th Street Station construction site gets some green

But instead of letting the construction fence be a long-term eyesore, University City District decided to bring a little green to the site. Partnering with the Philadelphia company Shift_Design, UCD is installing 12 custom-designed, modular planters. In addition to improving the site's aesthetics, the green screen will also protect passerbys from construction noise. For now, the plants are small, but as the weather warms, but stop by the Porch come springtime and you can expect to see a lot more life.
