Earth Force: 12th Annual Youth Summit comes to Philly

Start

There is no doubt that we must educate our future generations in the steps they can take to actively care for the environment. Earth Force, an environmental education organization, seeks to do just that. With locations nationwide, the programs engage local youth in hands-on activities that teach important environmental knowledge.

As part of the educational process, Earth Force hosts a Youth Summit each year. This year, on May 3rd and 5th, EF will come to Philadelphia to celebrate the 12th Annual Earth Force Youth Summit.

Students from over 33 schools throughout the Philadelphia region will come together at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge to reveal environmentally-aware projects they have completed over the 2010-11 school year, that used innovative approaches to enhance, educate and beautify their communities.

Earth Force strongly believes that a meaningful impact in made within communities when stakeholders come together for a common goal. They bring together school districts, community-based organizations, corporations, religious groups and higher education institutions to create a dialogue focused on engaging youth in positive, environmental change.
