Yard Work: Exciting Developments in South Philly

Start

Excellent Naval Yard news, courtesy of those rapscallions at Philebrity:

Back in November, solar panel outifit HelioSphera announced they’d move ops down there, and now, the US Department of Energy and several other federal agencies have jointly awarded a $129 million grant to a partnership based in Philadelphia. The grant’s direct result will be the creation of the Greater Philadelphia Innovation Cluster for Energy Efficiency Buildings (GPIC).

As Philebrity puts it: “[The Naval Yard] is no long just a place to store Urban Outfitters employees and have LCD Soundsystem shows.”
