Animal Action: Carnival Time at Philly Herping

Start

Speaking of lizards, frogs and other scaly things, Grid contributor and herper extraordinaire Billy Brown is hosting a blog carnival over at his site Philly Herping*. House of Herp No. 6 is in honor of spring, and it features creatures getting in the mood for love. Click here for more on the monthly House of Herp.

*Brown’s description: “Herping’ is just like birding, but for reptiles and amphibians = herpetiles or herps (as in herpetology). These are the adventures of one Philly herper as he prowls the region (occasionally beyond) looking for critters to photograph and marvel at. [In case you were wondering, the word does come from the same word as herpes: ‘herpein,’ a Greek word meaning to creep.]
