Food Finds: Sweetgreen Opens in Ardmore

Start

On Wednesday, D.C.-born fast/healthy/sustainable joint Sweetgreen will open its first PA location in Ardmore. The restaurant was founded in 2007 by three Georgetown guys tired of the constant question, “Where should we eat today?” They wanted to create a casual, healthy, environmentally-friendly place that people would want to eat at everyday.

With seven locations already up and running in the D.C. area, these guys may have hit the nail on the head. The new location will source as many of its ingredients from the Greater Philadelphia Region, and serve up the simple SG menu of salads, soups, frozen yogurt and seasonal sides. The Ardmore location will be the first restaurant in the chain with a rooftop solar array to power the lighting.

Stop in and grab some lunch on Wednesday, then let us know what you think! More images, after the jump.
