Early spring is the time to get your roses ready for a season full of gorgeous scented blooms. Participants will get an overview of spring rose care including pruning, planting, transplanting, fertilizing, and disease prevention. A pruning demonstration with help from members of the Philadelphia Rose Society will follow, and then you will have the opportunity to test your skills on our roses. This class is held indoors and outdoors in the Visitors Center and Rose Garden. Be sure to dress warmly, bring your hand pruners, gardening gloves, and kneeling pad.
